James Gunn Confirms Future DC Games Will Be Connected To The DCEU

DC Studios bigwig James Gunn has revealed that future video game instalments based on DC properties will be connected to the DC Extended Universe.

The DCEU is basically the comic book giant’s own version of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, although unlike Marvel, DC looks set to now include video games as part of the package. Gunn was asked if this would be the case on Twitter by a fan, and simply replied “yes.”

Gunn has a lot of major films under his belt, having directed behemoths such as Guardians of the Galaxy and Guardians of the Galaxy 2, as well as The Suicide Squad and Dawn of the Dead. His earlier work includes Scooby Doo and Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed.

One of the major upcoming DC-based releases is of course Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and there’s also a Wonder Woman game in the pipeline too. Could this two games be among the first to connect to the DCEU? There’s a good chance, but we won’t know for certain until we get an official confirmation from the folk at DC.
