Death Stranding 2: On the Beach has received a small hotfix today that addresses a number of issues with the game, including addressing a problem where environments and the camera would stutter when in motion. Patch 1.08 for DEATH STRANDING 2 has been delivered. This patch addresses an issue where the camera / environment would appear to stutter when in motion, alongside other minor fixes and improvements.

Death Stranding 2 was released exclusively for the PS5 on June 26, 2025, and topped the UK physical all format chart despite launch sales being down over 66% over the original game (although this is no doubt due to the fact digital game sales have rocketed in recent years). In addition, Sony confirmed in its monthly PlayStation Store chart that Death Stranding 2 was the most-downloaded game for PS5 in June 2025 despite launching at the end of the month, and made number four in the EU.
