Kojima Productions has released a new Death Stranding video highlighting the game’s intricate fog effects.

Death Stranding is currently in production for PlayStation 4, and is the first game that Hideo Kojima has been involved with since his departure from Konami in late 2015. The Death Stranding release date is currently pencilled in for some point before 2019.
The game will star Norman Reedus and also features key roles from Mads Mikkelson and Guillermo Del Toro, although much of the game’s plot is being kept under wraps at present. Kojima-san has described Death Stranding as an action game, and said that it will feature vehicles and online functionality.
Death Stranding is being powered by the Decima Engine, which is the same technology behind Guerrilla Games’ Horizon: Zero Dawn. Kojima has assured fans that the game will not be released for the PS5 despite still being in the early stages of development, although he hasn’t ruled out the possibility of a sequel.
Recently, Shawn Layden, President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment America (SIEA), revealed he’s seen the game in action and has been suitably impressed by Kojima’s latest title to say the least.
