Bungie has announced that it has started rolling out Destiny 2 hotfix 6.3.0.6 following a lengthy period of downtime originating due to reports of players losing progression in various parts of the game.
The shared-world shooter was pulled offline overnight and remained down for over 16 hours as Bungie attempted to fix the issue, and has now confirmed that players must download a hotfix to remedy the issue. You can read more details below.
Bungie seemingly revealed in a job listing a few days ago that it is working on an unannounced live service game, although right now it’s anyone’s guess as to whether this could be Destiny 3 or something new.
Regardless, Destiny 2 still remains a major focus for the Sony-owned studio, as it continues to pump out new expansions for the game more than five years after its launch on PS4, PC, and Xbox One in September 2017.
