Destiny 2 Iron banner details confirm return of classic vendor

Fresh details on the upcoming Destiny 2 Iron Banner have leaked ahead of the release of the hard-as-nails PvP event this October.

According to info from the game’s database (via Destiny’s Reddit page), the Iron Banner will once again see the return of Lord Saladin as the vendor for the Crucible-based event, who was previously absent in Destiny’s Rise of Iron expansion.

Saladin will reportedly set up shop at “the Iron Banner grounds underneath the Traveler.” From the look of things, Lady Efrideet is not involved this time around.

One of the main changes this time around however is that Iron Banner no longer features the traditional Bounty system, as Destiny 2 eschews these objectives in favor of the Milestone/quest system.

As such, Iron Banner will now reportedly include daily Milestones similar to the vendors on each planet, requiring gamers to complete three challenges. This will net you a Reputation Bundle reward, which presumably can be exchanged for Iron Banner-specific loot.

In addition, Iron Banner will also introduce two new emblems, namely Shades of Radegast and Felwinter Frost, both of which are Legendary items.

Looking beyond the Iron Banner, the first batch of Destiny 2 DLC has been confirmed to be titled Curse of Osiris, and will be released in December 2017. Bungie recently launched the new Faction Rallies as part of Destiny 2 update 1.0.3, which also applies a number of gameplay fixes.

Destiny 2 launched for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 6, with a PC version arriving in late October. The game topped the U.K. All Format Chart upon its release, and has managed to maintain that position for three weeks straight.
