Destiny 2 power level cap revealed, let the grind begin!

The official strategy guide for Destiny 2 has revealed that Bungie has set a power level cap of 300 for the upcoming alien shooter.

While that’s a pretty significant number to grind towards, the journey to reach the Destiny 2 power level cap will be a little easier thanks to an improved engram system.

Unlike the original game, you won’t have to equip your best armor before decrypting a new engram to ensure you get the best reward; instead, the game now keeps track of your best gear for you.

As previously reported, the Destiny 2 level cap is set at 20, which is exactly the same number as its predecessor upon release back in September 2014.

However, there’s still a catch. Once you reach power level 260, you’ll only be able to reach the cap by completing various milestones, which is where weekly activities come into play and the hard grind begins.

Destiny 2 is due out on September 6, 2017 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and arrives on PC on October 24.

A GameStop leak earlier today confirmed Destiny 2 microtransactions are in the pipeline via Silver currency. The game will launch with six Strikes, among which includes one PS4-exclusive mission.
