The Destiny 2 Prestige difficulty mode has been met with a last-minute delay, Bungie has announced.
Originally due to roll out today at 10.00am BST, the new Raid difficulty will be released one week later than planned.

As a result of the delay, the Leviathan Prestige Raid will now launch on October 18 at 10.00am PST/1.00pm EST/6.00pm BST.
Bungie said that the delay is down to them sniffing out an exploit that "causes encounters to be stripped of their intended challenge.”
While it hasn’t been confirmed, it is very likely that the exploit mentioned pertains to the one that lets players easily defeat Calus.
"It’s important to us that the team who earns World First status doesn’t have their legacy tarnished by doubt, skepticism, or uncertainty," the studio said.
Bungie has yet to confirm full details on how the Prestige difficulty will differ from the existing Raid mode.
"We do not expect everyone to be successful in completing this activity," Bungie said earlier this year. "Mechanical changes to the encounters are minimal, but they are there." It did, however, say that rewards will be less focused on increasing your power, instead offering "unique rewards to help you shine."
Still, it’s not all bad news. The Destiny 2 Iron Banner event is released today, having gone live as part of the weekly reset.
The hard-as-nails PvP event has seen a number of changes, chief among which includes new Daily and Season Milestones. Of course, there’s plenty of new loot to earn too, with new weapons and armor available.
