“Minimum of 68GB available hard drive storage space required as of September 2017. Storage requirements subject to increase,” says the developer. Given that the original Destiny received numerous patches during its lifetime, you can be sure that Destiny 2 will definitely surpass this initial figure.
Bungie confirmed the Destiny 2 release date yesterday, with the shared-world shooter scheduled to roll out for PS4, PC, and Xbox One on September 8, 2017. The game sees humanity on its last legs as a Cabal unit decimates the Tower and Last City, forcing Guardians into exile as they mount a last-chance counterattack to reclaim their territory. However, as a result of the devastation, all previous equipment has been lost, acting as an in-game explanation for why your Guardian’s loot won’t carry over.
Destiny 2 will kick off a summer open beta for all platforms, although if you pre-order the game you will be able to get in on the action at an earlier date. In addition, Bungie has confirmed that the first Destiny 2 gameplay will premiere in mid-May.
In the meantime, Destiny Age of Triumph is now available for the original game, so get stuck in. Also, don’t forget to find out where Xur is this week!
