Bungie is releasing Destiny: The Collection for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this August, according to a listing on retailer giant Amazon UK (via lifelower).
There’s not a great deal of info to be garnered from the listing, other than a release date of August 18. As mentioned, Destiny: The Collection is only listed for current-generation systems, which isn’t a surprise considering Bungie is dialing back support for PS3 and Xbox 360.
Activision hasn’t announced any plans to release a new Destiny bundle, although it’s curious timing considering Destiny: Rise of Iron is set to hit PS4 and Xbox One little over a month after this collection supposedly arrives.
Destiny: The Taken King is the most recent expansion to be released for the shared-world shooter, which arrived in September 2014. Prior to that, Bungie supported the game with two large-scale DLC packs; The Dark Below and House of Wolves.
Destiny 2 release confirmed for 2017
In recent months, the former Halo developer has continued to support the game with time-based events, such as the Halloween-themed Festival of the Lost and the Sparrow Racing League. Meanwhile, April saw the release of a major title update that revamped the Prison of Elders.
Activision confirmed earlier this year that Destiny 2 is currently in development and will be released—presumably just for PS4 and Xbox One—in 2017. The last patch for Legacy Console versions of Destiny was released earlier this week.
