Destiny’s game world has been reset by developer Bungie today, ushering in a fresh set of challenges for eager Guardians to tackle.
First up, the weekly Nightfall has been refreshed, and is now centred on the Shield Brothers mission. In terms of modifiers, gamers will have a mixed bag in the shape of Specialist, Chaff, Fresh Troops, and Airborne. In addition, the Prison of Elders has also been reset, with Level 32 and Level 34 arenas now switched up to Cult of the Worm and Broken Legion, respectively.
Bungie is preparing to launch the latest patch for Destiny, version 2.1.0, which will apply a whole host of weapon tweaks as well as offering some change to the Eververse Trading Company, which is used to purchase emotes. In addition, the former Halo developer also recently launched the ‘Refer a Friend’ initiative for Destiny, which offers PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners exclusive in-game rewards for those who participate. More recently, the company confirmed that Destiny will be getting Sparrow Racing for a limited time this month, which also offers a range of PS4-exclusive content such as gear and missions.
Destiny’s The Taken King expansion is the latest major content drop for the shared-world shooter, releasing in September 2015 to huge success. The DLC topped the U.K. All Format Chart and sold through the majority of copies on the PS4. Read our full verdict on The Taken King to see what we thought of the content-rich expansion.
