The developer behind the PlayStation 4-exclusive Detroit: Become Human has teased a surprise announcement for later this week.
Quantic Dream posted the news on Twitter, confirming the announcement, whatever it may be, is scheduled for 6.00pm PST this Thursday. If you’re in the U.K., then that means you’ll have to stay up to the early hours of Friday morning—2.00am BST, to be precise.
No further details were confirmed, although with Detroit having been recently showcased at E3 this week, perhaps we’ll have more info to digest on the hotly anticipated neo-noir thriller.
Detroit debuts new character in gameplay trailer that highlights the importance of choice
Sony debuted new footage of Detroit during its E3 press conference on Monday evening, showcasing a new character in the shape of Connor; an android dedicated to aiding the police in their investigation of deviant units.
The demo ended in a tense confrontation between a deviant and his child prisoner, with Connor then defusing the situation in a variety of different ways, some of which ended pretty badly. One example saw the deviat pull the child over the edge of a building to her death, while another saw Connor successfully rescue the victim.
Indeed, Detroit looks set to capture the core elements of past Quantic Dream titles such as Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls, in the sense that gamers will be able to create their own story based on various decisions made during gameplay.
Detroit is currently in development exclusively for the PlayStation 4 and is without a release date.
