Devolver Digital has revealed that its annual Devolver Direct showcase will take place on June 7, 2024 at 5pm PT / 8pm ET / 1am BT, June 8, 2024.
A short teaser confirms the return of Volvy, a fictional character who has moved to the centre of Devolver’s surrealist directs, which act both as marketing showcase and commentary on the current marketing landscape and games industry landscape.
In the tweet announcing the direct’s date, Devolver pitches it as an invitation to Volvy’s 15th birthday, a reference to the fact that at the end of June, Devolver Digital will celebrate its 15th year of operation.

Devolver Digital has become a well known publisher of critically and commercially acclaimed indie games, earning them a reputation where players paid attention to anything bearing Devolver Digital’s publishing seal.
Whether or not Devolver still deserves that reputation is up for debate, but there’s no question that the industry needs publishers like it to keep helping weird games that wouldn’t find a home anywhere else across the finish line. In that sense, it’ll be well worth checking out the Devolver Direct.
