Dragon Quest III HD-2D Is ‘Progressing Quite Steadily,’ Series Creator Has Revealed

Yuji Horii, series creator on Dragon Quest, has revealed to Famitsu during a chat at the World Cosplay Summit 2023 that development on the Dragon Quest III In HD-2D project is “progressing quite steadily,” although wasn’t able to offer any new updates on the highly anticipated Dragon Quest XII: The Flames Of Fate.

Both games were announced in May 2021, and when asked about an update on both projects, Horri-san told the publication:

Dragon Quest III in HD-2D is progressing quite steadily. As for Dragon Quest XII, there’s still not much I can say. We’re working on a variety of things, so I hope everyone can continue to look forward to them.
