Atlus has released a 13-minute Dragon’s Crown Pro gameplay video for you to feast your eyes on.
The footage comes straight from SEGA’s stage show at Tokyo Game Show 2017 this week, and includes a wealth of in-game content, albeit with Japanese voice overs. Still, it’s certainly worth a look to see how the game is shaping up on Sony’s flagship console.
Check out the Dragon’s Crown Pro gameplay below.
Dragon’s Crown Pro is pencilled in for a January 25, 2018 release in its native Japan for the PS4. The game is an enhanced version of the original Dragon’s Crown released on the PS3 and PS Vita back in 2013, and includes 4K support and a brand new live orchestral soundtrack.
Developed by Vanillaware, Dragon’s Crown takes the form of a 2D action-RPG set against a sumptuous fantasy backdrop, where gamers traverse dungeons and labyrinths in search of fame and fortune.
The medieval-flavored title features up to four players, with the original version allowing for both local multiplayer and drop-in co-op via PlayStation Network. The updated PS4 release will also allow for cross-play between the PS3 and PS Vita editions of the title.
Dragon’s Crown doffs its cap to the classic 2D side-scrollers of old, so anyone with a penchant for the likes of Golden Axe will definitely feel right at home here.
As with any RPG worth its salt, Dragon’s Crown allows for plenty of customisation options, allowing you to upgrade your chosen warrior’s skill set and magical abilities, each of whom possess their own unique set of strengths and weaknesses.
Dragon’s Crown Pro has yet to attract a western release date, but we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop as soon as we hear anything.
