Dying Light 2 Celebrates 1st Anniversary With New Events, 2023 Roadmap Confirms Gear Transmog & More

Techland has announced its plans for Dying Light 2 for the year ahead as the game approaches its one-year anniversary.

First out the gate is Blood Anniversary, which runs from January 30 to February 9, and will be followed by the Dropkick weekend from February 2 — 9. Here, you’ll be rewarded with various goodies for completing community goals, including items from the Rais Bundle and the Brecken Bundle, which are worth $2.99 each.

Dying Light as a franchise has now sold 30 million units worldwide, with figures continuing to grow by the month. Dying Light 2 itself ranks as the ‘number one best-selling zombie game of 2022.’

Oleg Klapovskiy, Chief Publishing Officer at Techland, commented:

These outstanding numbers speak for themselves and confirm the success of the Dying Light franchise. We were able to achieve it only thanks to our awesome community – I want to use this opportunity to thank them again for their great support. Beyond that, April will see the launch of combat physics and brutality upgrades, TGG quests and gear transmog, with June dishing up a new night experience and roaming volatiles. Fresh parkour flow improvements will also be rolled out during the same month.
