Techland has announced that its critically acclaimed zombie actioner, Dying Light, has sold five million copies worldwide since launching in early 2015.
The milestone puts the game up some 500,000 units since June, at which point Techland confirmed the game had sold 4.5 million copies.
Speaking with VideoGamer, Tymon Smektala also revealed that the game has secured a spot in the Top 10 best-selling games in North America for the first half of 2015.
Dying Light will also receive a story-based expansion later this year known as The Following, which offers a brand new campaign adding around 10 hours of gameplay.
In the same interview, Smektala revealed that Techland’s ideas for Dying Light 2 may prove too ambitious for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
