Among the big announcements at the Tokyo Game Show tomorrow, we’re firmly expecting Tecmo Koie to lift the lid on Dynasty Warriors 9.
This is the perfect platform for an announcement with a huge audience for the game hailing from Japan, and producer Akihiro Suzuki has already said that he’s preparing for a big announcement this year.
"This year, we’re preparing to be able to make a big announcement, so please look forward to it," he said in an interview earlier this year.
Dynasty Warriors 9 will feature a revamped game system, Akihiro Suzuki, told PSU.com in an interview earlier this year, so we’re hoping that he’ll go into more detail at TGS.
It was the 15th anniversary of the Dynasty Warriors in 2015, but the last major game in the series, Dynasty Warriors 8 was released way back in 2013, with additional expansions being released in the years that followed.
It’s way overdue for a Dynasty Warriors 9 announcement, but with TGS 2016 kicking off tomorrow, it’s now or never.
At the Tokyo Game Show we’re also expecting Sony to talk about The Last Guardian, which has just been delayed until Christmas 2016, and possibly Kingdom Hearts 3, which skipped E3. The expansion pack for Dark Souls 3 is also likely to make an appearance, as well as Persona 5.
