Rain, developed by SCE Studios Japan and announced first at Gamescon 2012, is an pseudo-survival-horror adventure title coming to PlayStation 3 in Q3 2013. PlayStation Universe’s U.S. Managing Editor Kyle Prahl, who got to play Rain, gives his first impressions below.
The game’s premise puts gamers in the shoes of a young, invisible boy who can only be seen when it rains. When he finds a young girl in the same unique situation, he seeks to find her, struggling to be seen. Players must utilize the rain, and lack thereof, to get through the game and remain hidden from the outside world.
