EA’s Black Box studio has rolled out a few online multiplayer modes for Need For Speed: Undercover, exclusive to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game.
Chief among them is Cops and Robbers, which pits two teams of four drivers against each other in what your friendly neighborhood PR reps are calling the "ultimate battle-royale." The basic idea is, well, basic: robbers try to pick up and deliver a package, cops try to close them down. With prejudice, no doubt.
There will also be relatively conventional circuit and sprint multiplayer races. Fancy that.
Need For Speed: Undercover is out in North America on November 18 and in Europe on November 21. Beyond the high definition consoles, you can also expect it on Wii, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo DS and mobile phones.
