Electronic Arts’ latest earnings results have revealed that the quarter spanning October — December 2025 saw preliminary sales reach $3 billion, representing an increase of 38% year-on-year. Unsurprisingly, the strong performance for the quarter has been attributed to Battlefield 6, which arrived in October.
Beyond that, the publishing giant revealed that Apex Legends and EA Sports FC also recorded major growth during the three-month period, with net bookings for EA Sports FC having “increased high single digits year-over-year in Q3, excluding the benefit of the deluxe edition content timing, driven by strength in Ultimate Team and FC Mobile.” Meanwhile, Apex Legends saw net bookings “up double-digits year-over-year driven by innovative new features and events.”
Revenue for EA’s third quarter hit $1.9 billion, while net cash stood at 1.83 billion.
Battlefield 6 was released in October 2025 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, and is seen as a return to form for the franchise after the somewhat polarising Battlefield 2042. The game performed so well that it marked the first time that the Battlefield franchise managed to outsell Call of Duty in the US, with Activision’s shooter recording its worst position since 2008 in US sales ranking. EA announced last month that Battlefield 6 Season 2 had been delayed to February 17, and released the game’s latest patch – adding a number of quality of life improvements – yesterday.
