Electronic Arts first football title without the FIFA license, EA Sports FC 24, has gotten off to a pretty solid start following its release at the end of September, pulling in 11.3 million players during its launch week.
Cam Weber, president of EA Sports, commented:
In addition to welcoming back millions of our longtime players, new players in FC 24 are up nearly 20% year over year, showing the excitement of football fans everywhere to join the Club. We are building the world’s biggest football community through EA Sports FC, and we’re just getting started.
Last week it was reported that EA Sports FC 24 scored the second biggest physical launch in the UK of 2024 so far, although boxed sales of the game were down on EA’s FIFA 23 from last year. You can read our full review of EA Sports FC 24 here.
