Game Informer has revealed a heap of new details on Grand Theft Auto VI as part of its latest cover story, among which reveals the map size for the upcoming open-world crime drama will be twice the size of its predecessor.
Rockstar confirmed to the publication that GTA VI will include advanced weather systems, including tropical storms such as hurricanes while dynamic cloudscapes have also been added.
Meanwhile, NPCs will feature an ‘unprecedented level of detail’ in terms of height, body type, musculature, local weight gain in chests/busts, stomachs, butts and more. There’s also 170 animal species including over 60 bird types, 30 land mammals, as well as fish, reptiles, and more. In terms of activities, players can take part in billiards, train at the gym, go kayaking, street racing, off-road racing, visit the zoo, take part in air boating, jet skiing, base jumping and more.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on November 19, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Rockstar will be releasing a Collector’s Edition of sorts for the game, known as the Goodtime State – Vice City Collection, which costs $399.99 and includes a bunch of physical goodies. GTA VI: The Album will also be released alongside the game, and includes 34 tracks on streaming platforms and vinyl.
