Remember yesterday’s Dead Space teaser image and accompanying chatter of a big announcement? Well, Electronic Arts has revealed that it all pertains to a downloadable Dead Space 2 prequel for PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Marketplace.
Titled Dead Space: Ignition, the prequel is one of “many extensions” preceding the release of the hotly anticipated Dead Space 2 early next year, and is scheduled to hit Sony and Microsoft’s online service this autumn.
According to the press blurb, Ignition “combines an interactive comic-style story with three unique hacking mini games; Hardware Crack, Trace Route and System Override.”
It’ll feature four different endings, with players able to gain access to various unlockables upon completion of each game, including a special suit that protagonist Isaac Clarke can utilize in Dead Space 2.
Stay tuned for more info as it breaks.
