Elden Ring In Top 10 US Best-Selling Premium Games Of All Time

UPDATE: NDP Group’s Mat Piscatella has retracted this claim, due to incomplete data. “Because the ranked charts do not include the full history for all titles and all platforms – across both physical and digital sales – this note was worded too definitively for what is an incomplete comparable universe.” Piscatella said, apologizing for his lack of clarity on the subject.

Elden Ring’s success has been well-documented since its launch earlier this year, with the game having drummed up 13.4 million copies as of March 31, 2022. An expansion, Elden Ring: Barbarians of the Badlands, was revealed in a supposed leak from Bandai Namco earlier this week, although it’s most likely fake.

FromSoftware has confirmed that it is already hiring for new projects, while Souls creator Hidetaka Miyazaki is busy working on his next game. Is this the last we’ll see of Elden Ring, then? Nothing is certain yet, but its success may warrant a sequel.
