Embracer Group has promised to develop new entries in classic gaming franchises including Deus Ex and Thief, following its acquisition of numerous developers including Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal.
We already know that a new Tomb Raider game is in the works at Crystal Dynamics, but with some many IPs under its belt, Embracer Group is obviously planning to invest in as much as it can. To that effect, the company has said that it intends to develop an “exciting pipeline of new instalments and original IPs” from all its newly-acquired studios.
These include Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Thief, Legacy of Kain, as well as “other original franchise” that have not been confirmed at this point. What we do know, however, is that this array of IPs do not include Life is Strange, Outriders, and Just Cause.

As well as Crystal Dynamics, Eidos Montreal has also confirmed that it is busy working on new projects, although we’ll have to wait and see what it’s got up its sleeves.
