It’s always unfortunate to watch our European readers being forced to wait for a great title, whether it be a Blu-ray release or a PlayStation Store download. Much like an uncountable amount of games before it, Super Street Fighter II HD Turbo Remix is yet another one of those titles in which Europe must wait at least a month before having legitimate access to it.
While North American gamers have been enjoying the 2D fighter for weeks now, Europe is left to wait, patiently. Capcom apologizes for these imbalanced release dates, but feel there is nothing they can do about it.
"There are reasons why we can’t always release games when we want to, but we are working hard on getting the game out as soon as possible," said a Capcom representative. "All indications point to a Q1 release for the title."
Fortunately, with how vague Q1 2009 truly is, the Capcom representative also let it be known that the title should release much earlier than later. Until something concrete pops up onto the radar, however, this is the best we’ll have to go on.
