Karel Kolmann, who previously worked at Kingdom Come Deliverance developer Warhorse Studios, has revealed on their LinkedIn page that they have joined CD Projekt RED as the senior quest designer for The Witcher IV.
It’s a new position as their resume states that Kolmann only joined up with CD Projekt RED in November 2025. Prior to this, they served in numerous roles at Warhorse Studios, including writer, scripted, senior game designer, and lead gameplay designer.
As for The Witcher IV itself, CDPR revealed the first trailer for the highly anticipated fantasy-RPG During the Game Awards in December last year, and revealed in March 2025 that the game will not see the light of day until after 2026. Unlike the original three games, The Witcher IV will replace Geralt of Rivia with Ciri as the main protagonist, although the former will still appear.
