Bethesda has sent the internet into meltdown by starting a countdown clock with a very familiar theme. Looks like some big Fallout-related news will be revealed tomorrow. Likely to be the hugely anticipated Fallout 4.
A ‘Please Stand By’ image with a clock counting down from twenty-four hours appeared on the Fallout homepage earlier today and should reach zero at 3pm BST tomorrow afternoon. That timer’s background is straight out of Fallout 3 and seems to confirm that Fallout 4 is indeed being announced, with tomorrow’s reveal possibly just being a pre-E3 teaser to whip up a frenzy within the community. Boy, has that worked.
It’s been six long years since the last numbered installment in the post-apocalyptic series and that has led to countless hoaxes, rumours and general speculation about the next game. The strongest ongoing belief is that Fallout 4 will be set in Boston.
Bethesda has its own conference at E3 this year on June 14th. The first time it’s ever done so. We’d hazard a guess that means the studio will leave plenty of the juicer details till then, but any news on a new Fallout is good news, right? Time to get on the hype train!
