Ubisoft has announced a pair of Far Cry 5 Collector’s Editions for North America and the U.K., with both regions getting a slightly different version of the highly anticipated action-adventure sequel.
First up, U.S. gamers will receive the Far Cry 5 Resistance Edition. This premium edition is available exclusively from GameStop and will set you back $199.99, and includes a wealth of physical goodies.
The centre piece for the Resistance Edition is the Nick Rye figurine, which stands at 16.5” and is accompanied by his trusty canine companion. You’ll also get a steenbok, stars-and-stripes bandana, logo pin, and post cards.
Finally, you’ll also receive the Doomsday Prepper DLC, featuring a new outfit, van, and weapon. Presumably the Season Pass will also be featured.
Next up, the U.K.’s Father Edition offers its own steelbook, the game soundtrack, a 12.3” figurine of cultist Joseph Seed, and a map of Hope County. It also features the same DLC as the Resistance Edition and comes in at a more wallet-friendly £89.99.
Far Cry 5 is due for release on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on February 27, 2018.
The game takes place in the fictional Hope County, which is under the thumb of Joseph Seed; a local preacher who leads a doomsday cult known as Eden’s Gate.
Players control a sheriff dispatched to the region to bring Seed to justice, and winds up in the middle of an ongoing conflict between Seed’s religious nut jobs and Hope County’s free citizens.
Disappointingly, while the game supports co-op for the main storyline, only the host player will be able to keep their progress during the game.
