Speaking during an AMA on Reddit, Far Cry 6 game director Alexandre Letendre confirmed that the game will not be bringing back the Arcade Mode, so there won’t be a map editor for players to tinker with this time around.
Letendre revealed that the decision to eschew the Arcade Mod was “difficult,” but it allowed the team to put more focus on the game’s single-player campaign.
No, Arcade will not come back. Removing this mode from our plan was a difficult decision, but allowed us to focus our efforts on the main campaign, transporting players into the heart of a modern-day guerrilla revolution.

Far Cry 6 is pencilled in for release on October 7, 2021, and will launch for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One. Pleasingly, Ubisoft has revealed that it will be ensuring that all versions of the game will be up to snuff, so the PS4 and Xbox One editions won’t suffer.
