Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will see its visuals improved in a new update for the game’s demo next week, Square Enix has revealed.
Players reported a number of issues when running the game in Performance Mode, and these problems will be remedied in an update on February 21. This mode is designed to allow for a consistent 60 FPS performance, with Graphics Mode focussing on 4K resolution.
The update to the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo scheduled for February 21st will apply improvements to the visual quality when selecting ‘Performance Mode’ from the graphics options. The same improvements will also be applied to the full game.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is scheduled for release on February 29, 2024 for PS5, and is the second entry in the FFVII Remake project. Myself and Garri both went hands-on with the game, so you can read our individual impression here and here.
Rebirth picks up following the events of FFVII Remake, and sees Cloud and his companions head out of Midgard and into the open world in their pursuit of Sephiroth. Square Enix previously confirmed that FFVII Rebirth will take players all the way up to the Forgotten Capital, at which point a crucial sequence will play out.
