FFXIV Final Fantasy XIV Little Ladies Day MMORPG

Final Fantasy XIV: Little Ladies Day Returns For 2026 – Support Your Favourite Idol Now!

As spring slowly rolls in, the yearly Final Fantasy XIV event Little Ladies Day returns to the world of Eorzea. In-game, this event is about promoting an idol group called The Songbirds. This band features three characters – Ulala, Narumi and Masha. It’s also a pretty simple event, which is a welcome break from more recent offerings. Little Ladies Day 2026 runs from Thursday, February 26 to Thursday, March 12, so you still have a week to get the event done at the time of writing.

The event is based on the real-life Hinamatsuri festival, or Dolls Day. This was an event on the third day of March where little ladies in the family would either inherit or receive dolls named ’emperor’/’empress’. Back in the day, these dolls would often be used as playthings, but as time has gone on, they are mainly used for decorative purposes, with them being placed on bright red stands. The event is to celebrate them being married in the future, and it was also a superstition that if a girl has the dolls out after Little Ladies’ Day, she would be getting married late.

Mums and daughters would often start putting the dolls out before March 3, but boys would not usually be involved with the event, which is interesting as Little Ladies Day on FFXIV does have a male idol. This could be due to the fact Boys’ Day used to be March 5, and the event does cover that time period, too. This is quite an interesting topic, and it’s nice that FFXIV covers this event. If you want to read more, make sure to look it up. You can also learn a little bit in-game about Little Ladies Day by talking to the Royal Servant who is near X10.5/Y8.6.

It’s A Magical Time!

The quest “What Can I Do for You” can be unlocked by speaking to the Royal Seneschal at X10.5 Y8.6 in Ul’dah. This is one of the base starter cities of FFXIV; all events are located in the base towns, meaning even new players are able to access the events pretty shortly after starting the game. Though around the character, depending on how far you are in the story, there are actually different characters from different expansions that have turned up to enjoy the show. It’s nice to see the team have updated it for veteran players but also use this tech to hide potential spoilers for newer players.

Turn It Into Love!

Little Ladies Day first has you go around and talk to characters to promote the event. Then during the second quest, the main event really kicks off. You can talk to the Royal Handmaiden when the blue circle (Fate) spawns on the map; during this time, your outfit is swapped to a colour of your choice, or you can ask to be surprised!

The idols will then appear on the stage in the fate circle, your hot bar will have been switched to four different cheer emotes, each one has a colour to promote/support the character on stage for example Ulala wears red/pink, so you can use the red cheer emote to support her. This will rotate throughout the event. I will say if you are colourblind, this can be annoying, but also the emotes have a slightly different cheer based on the colour, so instead of going by the colour, you can try and do it based on the animation style.

When the fate is over, you are given some tokens. You then have to remove the outfit with the fifth button on the hot bar; if you press this button early, you can go back to the Royal Handmaiden and reapply the outfit. If you have finished the event, you can then talk to the Royal Seneschal again; this will allow you to do a small repeatable quest which gives fireworks but gives you a cute cutscene with each idol individually. This is just to add some small flair and fun to the already fun event.

Rewards

The event rewards you with the emotes that you used during the fate, so you can cheer your friends on during hard content or just to lift up their spirits! Also, you will get tokens from doing the event; you can use these tokens to purchase the t-shirts used during the show, or if you really want to, you can purchase different housing items, plus music.

At the end of the day, this event is just a little bit of fun and helps kill the time while we wait for the information that should be dropping soon with the new live letter for 7.5!
