Square Enix has announced that the Final Fantasy XV Ultimate Collector’s Edition has once again sold out.
The publisher took to Twitter to confirm the news, with fresh stock in its European store now depleted after a second wave of pre-order opportunities.
It wasn’t without its problems though, with the company having to apologise for a ‘technical issue’ that forced eager gamers to wait hours to secure their copy of the content-rich collector’s edition.
Square Enix initially had 10,000 units manufactured for the Ultimate Collector’s Edition, which unsurprisingly sold out as fast as tickets to a Led Zeppelin reunion gig. However, it pledged to produce more of them, and as we can see, they were again snapped up like hotcakes.
Final Fantasy XV is scheduled for a worldwide release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 30, 2016.
