Fortnite update 5.10 has landed, adding the compact submachine gun and much more. Among the changes are some Fortnite building nerfs and the search for cake locations to celebrate the game’s first birthday.
However, it’s the building nerfs that haven’t been entirely welcome in the new patch. According to the release notes, it will take longer to build structures, but will be quicker to destroy buildings. Here’s the changes:
- Wood wall starting health from 100 to 80.
- Stone wall starting health from 90 to 80.
- Wood wall max health from 200 to 150.
- Metal wall max health from 400 to 500.
- Metal build time to from 25 seconds to 20 seconds.

https://youtu.be/1fEpUQ1VtVkHowever, it does seem that Epic Games are attempting to encourage more attacking rather than defensive play with the above nerfs. This also ties in with the amendment to the storm circle. This now closes in on the map more rapidly following update 5.10.
