Bloodborne, numerically considered the "best original PS4 game so far," has had its fair share of bumps in the road, but the biggest gripe about FromSoftware’s next-gen title will soon be remedied.
Shortly after release, Bloodborne was patched to counter a game-breaking glitch with update 1.02, which fixed a glitch that prevented a specific key item from spawning as it should have. In light of this urgent patch, it delayed the expected patch that would have specifically gone after shortening loading times between zones. However, not all news revolving around Bloodborne has been bad.
In fact, since then, reports have come in indicating that Bloodborne, a PlayStation-exclusive game designed to challenge the heartiest of hearts, has reached the one million milestone in sales. Alongside that announcement is more detail around upcoming patch 1.03, meant to remedy the waiting time in Bloodborne. The official statement from Sony, care of the PlayStation Blog, states:
As we confirmed previously, the 1.03 update seeks to reduce certain load times in addition to performance optimizations. The patch also resolves an issue that resulted in abnormal game behavior after many continuous hours of play. Additional fixes will be included as well.
The team is currently working towards a global release of the 1.03 patch before the end of the month. We will try to provide more specific timing as soon as we are able.
With April 30 being the figured deadline for this update as per the official statement, gamers won’t have to wait for more than a couple of weeks. Until then, try to appreciate that that loading screen gives you a chance to breathe and regenerate your esteem to keep going.
