Journalist Jeff Grubb (you know, the bloke who has been leaking all sorts of PS5 stuff over the past few weeks), reckons that games will run better on Sony’s next-generation home console in ‘limited circumstances.’
PS5 Games To Run Better
Grubb has been sharing plenty of info about the PS5 as of late, and yesterday added his two pence on whether gamers can expect games to run slightly better on PS5. Here’s what he had to say on Twitter about the subject:
Does that mean games are going to run better on PS5? I think in limited circumstances. Think about how Bethesda games struggled on PS3 but in reverse. But most multiplats are still going to be designed with SATA HDDs within spec, so the GPU will probably remain the bottleneck.
Sony is hosting a dedicated PS5 games event on Wednesday at 9.00pm BST, where it will be showcasing around a hour’s worth of footage for upcoming titles. From the sound of it, the console’s actual design won’t be unveiled during the event.
PS5 is slated for release in holiday 2020.
