Sony Interactive Entertainment announced yesterday during State of Play that the DualSense controller is receiving a limited edition God of War 20th Anniversary variation, with the pad design using Kratos’ familiar grey and crimson colouring.

The controller will be available to preorder from October 3, 2025 and will launch on October 23.

God of War celebrated its 20th anniversary back in March and Sony marked the occasion with a bunch of free cosmetic items for God of War Ragnarok. Rumours about a collection of the Greek-based God of War games unfortunately never amounted to anything, although reports about a new spinoff entry in the franchise continue to gather pace.
Sony Santa Monica Studio is currently working on a brand new IP with Cory Barlog at the helm, although a recent job posting by the company has heavily indicated that it’s not done with God of War yet, backing rumours about the aforementioned spinoff title.
