Grand Theft Auto VI has now officially been revealed after it was leaked, and a press release from Rockstar following the launch seems to reveal another tidbit on the highly anticipated release, that it’ll be coming to PS5 and other current-gen consoles first, with no mention of a PC version.
The press release only mentions the PS5 and the Xbox Series X/S as the platforms it’ll launch on in 2025, which makes it seem like it’ll arrive on consoles first, with a PC version coming sometime afterwards.
This also confirms what we could’ve already guessed, that Grand Theft Auto VI will at least release as a current-gen only title. It’s unlikely anything will be releasing on PS4 all the way in 2025 anyways.
Sam Houser, co-founder of Rockstar Games says that Grand Theft Auto VI “continues our efforts to push the limits of what’s possible in highly immersive, story-driven open-world experiences. We’re thrilled to be able to share this new vision with players everywhere.”
