Grand Theft Auto 6 is arguably the most anticipated game in for everyone in across the entire industry, and after more than a decade of GTA V we’re finally nearing a GTA VI release date.
We’ve heard before from Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two that 2025 is the goal, and we were reassured in that today during the company’s second quarter financial reports on Wednesday.
In fact the release window has gone from just 2025 to Fall 2025, so since we’re nearing the end of the Fall season at time of writing, it’s probably safe to say we’re about a year out from Grand Theft Auto 6’s release.
You gotta figure that Take-Two will want it out ahead of Black Friday in the U.S., particularly because it’ll likely be bundled with consoles, PS5 Pro included.
That’s just speculation, but the holiday season is one of the most lucrative for games companies, and anyone can see that aiming for a Fall release implies that Take-Two is looking to make sure that GTA VI is splattered across every holiday display across the globe.
Besides, if it’s going to be one of the biggest releases in video game history, it might as well launch in the time of year where everyone is gearing up to put their consumerism into overdrive.
