GRID 2 patch 1.01 hits the tracks, more to come, says Codemasters

Despite GRID 2’s phenomenal, chart-topping launch on May 31, Codemasters is continuing to work hard to ensure gamers are having the best experience possible, today deploying patch 1.01 to fix a number of issues the game was experiencing.

Below is a full list of the fixes you can expect from the patch:

– Fixed a lag issue caused by viewing sponsorship objectives in Season 1.
– Rectified over-aggressive AI during Season 3 in the Haruna Kyojin drift event at Okutama.
– Fixed a graphical issue causing the logo of lightweight cars to not appear with other Tier 3 car classes.
– An issue regarding the failure to recognize competition in the Technology sponsored objective has been resolved.
– Resolved an issue where, after completing the game and selecting New Driver from the options menu, the game freezes at a loading screen upon completing the first season (after playing a video at the wrong time).
– Amended a split-screen issue causing the AI to take control of a player’s vehicle after using instant flashback, pausing and restarting the race.
– An audio bug causing poor music quality has been fixed.
– Problem preventing users from signing up to RaceNet in game has been fixed.
– Fixed a graphical error present when removing upgrades and reverting to the default livery.
– Resolved an issue in Touge that would disqualify a player for driving through a ghosted player that just used flashback.
– Eliminated an audio issue that resulted in a short burst of engine audio to be played when quitting out at the start of the Divizero time attack race.
– Corner cutting errors on Indianapolis have been resolved.
– Imbalances in tracks, car geometry, stability, string and difficulty have been resolved.

If you are still experiencing any of the above issues to any degree, or are experiencing issues outside of those listed above, Codemasters has said that "this is a first wave of fixes and we’re already hard at work on a future patch." Presumably, a majority of any remaining issues will be cleared up in the near future.
