GTA 6 Hack Suspect Has Pleaded Not Guilty To Computer Misuse, Currently Held In Youth Detention Centre

The teenager arrested on suspicion of the GTA 6 hack is currently being held in a youth detention centre, and while admitting to breaching bail conditions has pleaded not guilty to computer misuse.

Michael O’ Sullivan, Detective Inspector at City Of London Police, issued the following statement to Eurogamer:

The 17-year-old who appeared at Highbury Corner Youth Court on 24th September has pleaded guilty to breaching his bail conditions and not guilty to computer misuse. The teenager has been remanded to a youth detention centre.

The 17-year-old suspect is believed to be liked to the notorious hacking group Lapsus$, having obtained over an hour of in-development footage of GTA 6 prior to Rockstar showing off the game to the public for the first time.

The teen is also believed to have been involved in a group that hacked companies such as Microsoft and Nvidia , and made headlines in March when they were just 16.

Rockstar Games has only confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 is in development, and a release date has yet to be announced.
