The 17-year-old individual responsible for the GTA 6 hack had previously been arrested and violated his bail conditions, the City of London Police have confirmed. Furthermore, journalist Matthew Keys revealed via sources that the hacker had previously attacked both Microsoft and Nvidia.
Last week, it was confirmed that UK authorities had arrested someone in Oxfordshire who was believed to be responsible for the GTA 6 hack. This individual was also reportedly behind a similar cyber attack on Uber.
The teenager is believed to be part of the notorious hacking group Lapsus$, who were being investigated by the FBI.

In related news, it has been reported that Rockstar Games has spent over $2 billion on Grand Theft Auto 6 so far, although nothing has been officially announced. Likewise, the game itself has yet to attract a release date; all we know is that it’s in development, with Rockstar keeping details hush-hush.
