GTA V has sold 34 million copies worldwide

Take-Two has announced that Grand Theft Auto V, the critically acclaimed open-world crime romp from Rockstar Games, has sold 34 million copies worldwide since its launch in fall 2013.

The publisher announced the figure during its latest financial call, where it said the figure combines sales of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game.

GTA V is hitting PS4 and Xbox One in November, where it will receive a significant visual overhaul, with greater draw distance and enhanced textures among the various cosmetic touches that have been applied. 

Rockstar Games was recently hit by a lawsuit filed by Hollywood actress, Linsday Lohan, who accused the game developer of ripping off her likeness with one of the many characters featured in the title.  

The firm also didn’t rule out a possible GTA HD Collection for new-generation hardware Look out for GTA V on PS4 on November 18 in the U.S. and November 21 in Europe.
