Rebs Gaming has claimed that Halo Studios is “actively developing” Halo 2 and Halo 3 Remakes alongside the upcoming Halo Campaign Evolved.
One of my new sources sent me proof to verify themself and confirm that the Halo 2 and Halo 3 remakes are definitely happening. Active development is underway; they are in early development.
In addition, Rebs Gaming stated that Halo Campaign Evolved will include various content from other titles including the Brutes in the new prequel missions, as a nod to the upcoming remakes. Beyond that, it is claimed that Halo Studios is also beavering away on a multiplayer project and the next mainline entry in the franchise.
This isn’t the first time that we’ve heard about remakes of Halo 2 and Halo 3. Back in October last year, Halo Leakes claimed that Halo Studios was working on remakes of those titles, but they wouldn’t include the multiplayer component — as is the case with Halo Campaign Evolved.
Halo Campaign Evolved is slated to launch for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S in 2026, and is a full remake of the original Halo: Combat Evolved, featuring completely overhauled visuals and environments using Unreal Engine 5.
