Rumours have started swelling once again that Halo is set to be announced for the PS5 during the Halo World Championship tomorrow, possibly the long-rumoured Halo: Combat Evolved Remake.
We already know that Halo Studios will be talking about what it’s been working on during a deep dive on October 24, which has got a lot of people convinced we’re getting an announcement of an upcoming Halo project, be it aforementioned remake or something new entirely.

Now, RebsGaming has reported that Grunt.api, an unofficial Halo community that is known for promoting tools and other content for the series, has reconfirmed that whatever project is being announced tomorrow is indeed coming to the PS5.
Grunt is re-confirming that a new Halo game, specifically the one being announced on Friday, is coming to PlayStation 5. He didn’t find any evidence for Nintendo Switch.
Regarding Halo: Combat Evolved, there’s been numerous details trickling online over the past few weeks. Recently, HaloLeaks on X claimed that the remake will include a series of modern gameplay mechanics and a sprint button, while RebsGaming said back in September that Halo: Combat Evolved Remake is set to launch in 2026 to mark the 25th anniversary of the franchise.
