A new Dungeons & Dragons video game is in production, Hasbro has confirmed.
Speaking with Bloomberg, Hasbro CEO Chris Cocks confirmed that a fifth entry in the popular fantasy franchise is in production, but wasn’t able to go into any further details, including naming a developer behind the project. The news comes following the success of Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate III, although the company has confirmed it won’t be pursuing anymore D&D titles for its next project.

While it remains a mystery what this new Dungeons & Dragons title is, there’s another title in development at Starbreeze Studios in the form of Project Baxter, which is now in full production and “continues at full speed,” the company’s interim CEO, Mats Juhl, said back in August. The game is currently slated for release in 2026.
Back in February this year, Wizard of the Coast issued a statement denying reports that Tencent was looking to acquire the Dungeons & Dragons IP from Hasbro.
