Hideo Kojima reveals new Metal Gear Solid 2 Easter Eggs

Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima has revealed a couple of Easter Eggs found present in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, more than a decade after the game was originally released.

Kojima-san, who is currently working on the next chapter in the stealth-action franchise, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, took to Twitter to reveal the details.

“Pans hanging in the kitchen of tanker appeared in MGS2, each one has musical scale that could plays the music as you shoot them by gun," he said.

In addition, he also revealed that there is a bucket of ice that can be knocked over at the bar downstairs, which then melts over time.

Metal Gear Solid 2 was released in 2001 and later showed up on the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and Xbox 360.

Next month marks the release of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, the prequel to the upcoming Phantom Pain. The game is released for current and next-generation systems on March 18 in  the U.S. and in Europe on March 20.
