Hideo Kojima’s tech tour pays a visit to Killzone developer

Legendary game designer Hideo Kojima has touched down in Amsterdam as his tech tour continues across Europe with a visit to Guerrilla Games, the creator behind the Killzone series and upcoming Horizon: Zero Dawn.

Kojima-san posted a few snaps of his journey on Twitter, depicting him standing outside Guerilla HQ, as well as a few shots from his plane seat. We’ve embedded a Tweet below for you to see for yourself.

The Metal Gear creator’s reason for embarking on the tech tour remains unknown, although he has been traveling around North America with Sony’s Mark Cerny, the architect responsible for designing the PlayStation 4. Here, he visited a number of studios such as Sony Santa Monica and Sony San Diego, before flying out to the U.K. just a few days ago.

Last month, it was confirmed that Kojima-san had departed Konami following a highly-publicised falling out during the development of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. As such, he’s now set up his own independent version of Kojima Productions, with his first project being a PS4-exclusive

While details on the game are being kept under wraps, Kojima-san has confirmed that it won’t be related to Metal Gear or the canceled Silent Hills project he was working on with Hollywood director, Guillermo Del Toro.

However, various job listings at the studio have indicated the game will take the form of a science-fiction title featuring RPG elements and crowd AI.
