Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. (SCEI) boss Kazuo Hirai has said he is hopeful the corporation’s extensive online service will facilitate a boost in brand loyalty among consumers.
Hirai’s comments come following Sony’s plans to make available its online service – PSN included – via a number of home entertainment devices, such as games consoles, PCs, and Blu-ray players.
"We want to increase the value, or the brand loyalty of our Sony products. There is no question about it," the executive told Japan Today.
The Japanese hardware manufacturer announced Friday that it expects PSN to generate $500m USD in revenue this current financial year, three times as much the previous year.
