IO Interactive have detailed how Hitman 3 will use the PS5’s DualSense Haptic Feedback and Adaptive Triggers.
Over on the PlayStation Blog, the developers highlight that the game will feature adaptive trigger support for all the guns in the game, with an authentic sensation as you fire. Automatic weapons will also simulate recoil. The Haptic Feedback for each weapon is also tied to the sound profile of the gun.
One example of this use is when using the Focus effect, slowing down the world around you, when using a Sniper Rifle. This will cause the trigger to have a tension point, resisting your pressure. To activate Focus you will need to hold down that trigger against the tension point and activate it by pressing down and pushing past that tension point.
